For the past 15 years The Mud Connector website (TMC) has been your gateway to an extensive world consisting of over 1000 Free multiplayer games (Muds).

With the TMC Game Client app you can access and play from a wide variety of the games listed on the TMC website, right now, right from your iPhone.

  • Add selected games to your TMC Game Client favorite list allowing you to connect and play

Accessibility Comments

This app is as far as I have found, fully accessible with VO. I have tested it with FurryMuck and alterAeon two exceptionally good games that are blind friendly. VO reads everything and in the game window in a game it takes a few swipes to scroll through new text that was incoming but this is no big deal with a two finger downward swipe. A note regarding accessibility here. The app is fully accessible but some of the games may be hard to use with VO due to how they are set up. Some games like AlterAeon and Hellmoo have a setting for screen reader users to make it easier but not all MUDs and MUCKs do.

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labelling

All buttons are clearly labelled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

This is a great app for anyone who wants a ton of free text based games of many genres. I tested it on my iPhone 4 using iOS 4.3 on WiFi and all is well. I have no idea how well the connection is through EDGE or 3G so please test it out and leave a comment. Happy MUDding.

Paret with a BT keyboard, this'll be really awesome! I think it'll run pretty fast on a 3g connection--loading Google and other such sites is fine, so I would think this would be similar--though I can't atest to this.

Frotz is another good text game client, and is really accessible.
